The Summer Bite is Here!

Late Summer Fishing in Fort Pierce – August 27, 2025

Offshore fishing has started off consistent fishing out of Fort Pierce.

King Mackerel and Bonito have been on fire and greedily taking baits. Live bait fishing and trolling has been the most productive.

Mahi are still being caught, however most are 22”-26”. There are some larger fish around. Live bait has produced the smaller fish but trolling has been triggering the bite from the larger fish.

Sailfish are still around as well with live bait fishing larger baits such as goggle eyes producing the best results.

Wahoo have started showing up and Ballyhoo with black and purple sea witches have been the top bait.

We are about to round the corner into Fall and Winter fishing which is some of the best Florida has to offer.

Offshore Fishing in Fort Pierce – Summer Season Overview
June 10, 2025

Even during the heat of Florida’s summer, the offshore bite off Fort Pierce remains strong.

While Mahi Mahi are not as abundant as they are in the Winter and Spring, they can still be found in good numbers. Most range from 22” to 34”, though larger fish exceeding 40–50 pounds are occasionally caught.

Summer Sailfish offer exciting action, with many fish reaching trophy size. These aggressive predators provide thrilling battles and memorable catches.

King Mackerel arrive in large schools, with some individuals topping 40 pounds, making them a favorite target for anglers during the warmer months.

Wahoo are also active in the area, particularly in the early morning hours when the bite is best.

On the bottom, Snapper fishing heats up with a variety of species available, including Lane Snapper, Mangrove Snapper, and Mutton Snapper. Grouper, especially Red Grouper, can be found on inshore structures and respond well to fresh bait.

Additional bottom species such as Triggerfish, Banded Rudderfish, and other reef dwellers also provide steady action.

If it swims out here—chances are, we’ll catch it.
