MEET THE CREW

Addiction Sportfishing

Say hello to the team that’s here to make your day on the water unforgettable. They’ll rig the lines, reel in the fish, and maybe even tell a decent joke or two. And yes—our four-legged crew member is in charge of morale, cuteness, and unsolicited naps in prime fishing spots.

CAPTAIN CHRIS

Owner & Operator

Meet Captain Chris, the owner of our charter fleet and a highly experienced mariner who brings passion, expertise, and leadership to every trip. Holding a 200-ton USCG Master’s Credential, Captain Chris not only oversees operations but also captains many of our charters himself.

With over 35 years of offshore fishing experience and more than 25 years running charters, Captain Chris has spent a lifetime on the water—he even purchased his first boat at the age of 12. His dedication to the sport is reflected in our 47’ Sportfish, aptly named “Addiction,” a nod to his lifelong love of fishing.

In addition to his charter business, Captain Chris owns and operates two marinas in Maryland. His hands-on approach spans all areas of the boating industry, from maintenance and brokerage to commercial fishing and crabbing. He also holds a Part 107 FAA drone pilot license, is a licensed Master Plumber, and a certified private pilot.

Captain Chris is deeply committed to his community, generously donating his time and resources to local causes—especially those supporting veterans and children. Known for his patience and personable nature, he takes pride in teaching others and getting to know each client who steps aboard.

When not on the water, Captain Chris enjoys spending time with his family and entertaining his loyal companion, Charlie.

CHARLIE

First Dog

Charlie takes his job very seriously—he’s in charge of greeting guests, handling all public relations, and most importantly, looking absolutely adorable. When he’s not charming clients with his wagging tail and winning smile, you’ll probably find him hard at work… napping on the bridge. Charlie loves life on the water and insists on being paid in belly rubs and treats.
CAPTAIN GIL

A Lifetime of Offshore Experience

Captain Gil began his career in the fishing industry at just 14 years old, working as a mate aboard head boats in the Northern Canyons off Delaware and Maryland. His passion for offshore fishing took him to the waters of the Carolinas before ultimately bringing him to Florida, where he has spent the last 20 years running charters out of Fort Pierce and Stuart.

With decades of experience and a deep knowledge of local fisheries, Captain Gil is committed to delivering a first-class experience for every client. While he’s no stranger to the tournament circuit, his true passion lies in helping anglers check a “bucket list” catch off their list. As Captain Gil puts it: “I love to hear the scream of the reels. I give everything I’ve got to put fish on the boat and ensure my clients have a memorable day on the water.

When he’s not at the helm of a charter boat, Captain Gil enjoys fishing Bass tournaments, keeping his passion for the sport going strong in both salt and fresh water. He spends most of his time off helping his wife at their family farm.

Come fish with one of Fort Pierce’s most respected captains. From the moment you leave the dock to the time you return safely to port, Captain Gil gives 110% to make your offshore adventure unforgettable.

HUNTER COOMBES

First Mate

Hunter serves as our dedicated First Mate and brings over five years of offshore fishing experience to the team. With a deep passion for the sport, he is committed to delivering an exceptional experience to every guest—whether you’re a first-time angler or a seasoned pro.

Following in the footsteps of his father, a respected charter captain in South Florida, Hunter aspires to one day captain his own vessel and carry on the family legacy. Known for his enthusiastic attitude and strong work ethic, he is widely regarded as one of the most energetic and personable mates on the Treasure Coast.

Off the water, Hunter has a love for animals and enjoys spending time with his dogs on the family farm, where he finds balance and connection with nature.
