The Summer Bite is Here!

Offshore Fishing in Fort Pierce – Summer Season Overview
June 10, 2025

Even during the heat of Florida’s summer, the offshore bite off Fort Pierce remains strong.

While Mahi Mahi are not as abundant as they are in the Winter and Spring, they can still be found in good numbers. Most range from 22” to 34”, though larger fish exceeding 40–50 pounds are occasionally caught.

Summer Sailfish offer exciting action, with many fish reaching trophy size. These aggressive predators provide thrilling battles and memorable catches.

King Mackerel arrive in large schools, with some individuals topping 40 pounds, making them a favorite target for anglers during the warmer months.

Wahoo are also active in the area, particularly in the early morning hours when the bite is best.

On the bottom, Snapper fishing heats up with a variety of species available, including Lane Snapper, Mangrove Snapper, and Mutton Snapper. Grouper, especially Red Grouper, can be found on inshore structures and respond well to fresh bait.

Additional bottom species such as Triggerfish, Banded Rudderfish, and other reef dwellers also provide steady action.

If it swims out here—chances are, we’ll catch it.
